Western Summer Conference 2008
Probably most people reading this visit RGCanada anyway, but I'll post just to be sure.
The Summer Conference is happening in Calgary this year, but we need to decide on a date. If you're interested and able to attend, please go to this thread
and vote for all
of the dates that you will be available to attend.
The poll closes on Monday May 5, at 16:11 MDT, and the decision will be final. Please only vote if you are planning to attend.

Summer Conference - so...
Now the topic ( http://www.rgcanada.com/viewforum.php?f=102
) has officially been opened up for discussion, just thought I'd post a quite note in case somebody here hasn't noticed. The main contender for a western conference right now is Edmonton, and there is nobody (as far as I know) interested in organizing an Eastern conference. (Any thoughts on that?)
Who'd come out to an Edmonton conference? I haven't seen quite a few people in a while myself so it would be fun.

It's getting to that time of year again...any thoughts about summer conference? Plans? Dreams? Hopes? Korea?
By the way...someone else should actually make a post in this thing once in a while, I think you other people can, right?

So...with all this talk of Supernova 2, and a 200+ song upgrade coming in summer...what do you think is happening in the dancing game world? Are they going to be adding on a bunch of old DDR songs? Are they going to be making use of ITG? I haven't even been really up-to-date on this, but at the very least the information seems very sketchy and confusing to me right now, any thoughts on what all this could mean?

ITG 2 - R21
In case you don't know, R21 is the patch that allows ITG 2 to use custom songs that you put on your USB card
A few thoughts for discussion...
Is R21 a good thing for ITG?
What are your, say, 3 favourite R21 charts?
What songs would you like to see better (or any) stepcharts for? Current Mood: Korea

DDR & ITG
A lot of people take either one side or the other when talking about whether they prefer ITG or DDR, and I don't know about the rest of you, but I actually find that my opinion falls somewhere between the two, I think either has good traits. It's like that song Move Ova for Supernova where they say "ITG is hard, but DDR is fun!"...well, I don't quite think that ITG isn't fun or anything, but that sort of captures the essence of what I think in some way.
How about the rest of yous?

Nice to see familiar faces~
So, I figured I might as well start things off with a discussion topic that just came right off the top of my head, just something to get us chatting:
Now that Konami has acquired ITG, do you think they will keep releasing new arcade mixes of DDR? Also, do you think there's any chance at all that Konami will actually do anything with the ITG name, or will they just sit on the name now that they've got it?

Welcome to Rhythm Games Canada's LJ community. Why does it exist? Well, we already have a pretty active message board, and I know a good handfull of our members already use LJ, so I figured why not, might bring in some new people while we're at it! This journal is just meant to be a leisurely discussion forum for anything related to any electronically based rhythm game. Accomplishments are fine and welcome, but this is really more for discussion/advice than boasting, though if you're really proud of something feel free to post it. :)
